Plan the drive
It is a real drive.
That is rather the point.
Keeley Lake is 94 kilometres north of Meadow Lake, up Highway 903 and into the boreal forest. Here is what the drive actually takes, and what to sort out before the pavement runs out.
Drive times
| From | Distance | Approx. drive | Route |
|---|---|---|---|
| Meadow Lake, SK | 94 km | 1 hr 10 min | North on Highway 903 |
| North Battleford, SK | 250 km | 2 hr 45 min | Via Highway 4 and 903 |
| Lloydminster, AB/SK | 285 km | 3 hr 10 min | Via Highway 303 and 903 |
| Prince Albert, SK | 330 km | 3 hr 30 min | Via Highway 55 |

Distances are by road and rounded. Allow more in winter, and more again if you are towing.
Before the pavement ends
Last fuel
Fill up in Meadow Lake. There is no fuel between town and the lake, and the last stretch is gravel.
Last groceries
Meadow Lake is the last full grocery stop. Cabins have kitchens but no store on site - bring what you plan to eat.
Last signal
Cell coverage thins out north of Meadow Lake and should not be relied on at the property. Download your maps before you leave town.
Winter driving
Highway 903 is maintained but northern. Check the Saskatchewan Highway Hotline before a winter trip, carry a shovel and warm gear, and tell someone your route.
